Successful launch to ‘Good Together’

Humanitie’s Good Together project kicked off on Saturday 25th May with a litter pick followed by a social at the Abbey Mount Centre in Edinburgh. The weather was beautiful, and all involved felt it was a fun and worthwhile way to spend the morning.

One highlight of the event was attracting a family who wanted to join the litter pick, but said they had no idea what humanism was. When we explained, they said cheerfully, “Oh, that’s us, then! We’re humanists!” That kind of realisation is exactly what we’re trying to accomplish.

All are welcome at the next event, Sunday 25th August at the Abbey Mount Centre from 12-2 pm. It’s potluck — so bring something yummy!
