New Chief Executive Fraser Sutherland • May 2019 Humanist Society Scotland is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Fraser Sutherland. Fraser Sutherland Fraser has been with Humanist Society Scotland since 2017 in the role of Campaigns and Communications Manager, leading the organisation’s campaigning and public affairs work. Before joining Humanist Society Scotland he worked in roles Citizens Advice Scotland and the Scottish Parliament. He lives in Falkirk with his wife and Jack Russell terrier. Fraser will take over the role from the outgoing Chief Executive Gordon MacRae on Monday 20th May who is moving to a new role at Shelter Scotland. John Bishop, Chair of Humanist Society Scotland said, “We are delighted to have Fraser take on the role of Chief Executive. We all look forward to having him lead the work of the Society given his passion for Humanism and the Society’s charitable work.” Fraser Sutherland said, “I am extremely excited to be taking on this new challenge with Humanist Society Scotland. I am really proud to be part of an organisation which has made significant positive changes in Scottish public life and continues to be a strong voice for Human Rights and equality.
