She has performed her annual show The News At Kate, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and across the UK, and has also adapted the concept into a web series, hosted on her own YouTube channel. HSS Chief Executive Gordon MacRae commented: “We’re so pleased to have Kate Smurthwaite speaking at our Gala Dinner. She has been a strong and unapologetic voice for a number of important issues from education, to a woman’s right to choose. Her direct approach, and ability to simply tell it like it is, while still maintaining her trademark humour, is admirable, and we look forward to her sharing her insight with us. ” Be sure to get your tickets now to avoid disappointment! Our Annual Conference and Gala Dinner will be taking place on Saturday 24th September at Our Dynamic Earth Edinburgh, followed by the Gala Dinner at The Place Hotel, Edinburgh.
