Following the news of a deadly attack in Manchester, Humanist Society Scotland on behalf of Scotland’s Humanist community express their profound sorrow at this news.

“The news from Manchester has been hard to hear. It is deeply distressing to think that someone targeted children and families in this way. But, those that seek to maim, kill and terrorise for their own twisted ideology will never defeat human kindness.

“Look at the reaction from the people of Manchester. A community, of many faiths and none, opening its doors to strangers, offering shelter, providing care. Nobody, no matter how determined can defeat the kindness of strangers.”
