First Associate Members – Scotmid Co-operative Funerals

We are delighted to announce that Scotmid Co-operative Funerals are our first Associate Members. Scotmid Co-operative Funerals have 16 branches across central Scotland and we recognise all as Trusted Providers. Associate membership is free and is open for applications to organisations that Humanist Society Scotland and our registered celebrants work in partnership with, full details of the scheme and eligibility are available to download.

James Blackburn, Head of Funerals at Scotmid said

“Scotmid Co-operative Funerals are delighted to become the first Associate Members of Humanist Society Scotland. We’ve been serving our local communities for the past 90 years and we look forward to strengthening our bond with HSS moving forward with this associate membership.”

They were recommended for membership by HSS Registered Celebrant Lorraine Simpson, who told us:

“I have genuinely found all of the staff from Funeral Arrangers to Funeral Directors, to conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism, adaptability, friendliness and support”
