Covid-19 Guidance for your Humanist ceremony

***UPDATE 4 JANUARY 2021***

Please note that from Friday 8th January, mainland Scotland will come under new temporary restrictions.  These restrictions will be reviewed on 18 January, but are anticipated to be in place until 1 Feb 2021, at the earliest.

During this period, marriage and civil partnership ceremonies will be restricted to a maximum of 5 people (couple, witnesses and celebrant), if required, an Interpreter is permitted in addition.

The last few months have been difficult for so many, including those who have had to reschedule ceremonies.  As we slowly move towards the easing of some restrictions we are heartened to see some light at the end of the tunnel for ceremonies and those they are for.

As we progress through lockdown, the guidelines set out by the Scottish Government continue to change. We will continue to do our best to keep you up to date about how we’re responding to these changes, and to offer guidance in relation to your ceremony. Our most recent guidance can be found below.
