Dr Erika Presig: Assisted Dying Public Meeting

Dr Erika Preisig will give a presentation on “How to Die in Peace and Self Determination”.

Dr Erika Preisig will give a presentation on “How to Die in Peace and Self Determination” after being invited by Friends At The End (FATE), the campaigning organisation for a change in Scots law to allow assisted dying.  The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in this topic is invited to attend.

Dr. Preisig is a GP and president of the Life Circle, a centre promoting self-determination in life and at the end of life based in Biel-Benken, Switzerland.  (For more see www.lifecircle.ch).  In November 2014, Life Circle ensured Scottish twins Stuart Henderson, 86, and Phyllis McConachie, 89 from Troon in Ayrshire, were of sound mind when they made their decision to end their lives in Switzerland.  They arranged with the Swiss doctor to travel to her Eternal Spirit practice in Basel – where they died side-by-side, holding hands as they had wished.
