Enjoy this geologically inspired walk led by Angus Miller in Edinburgh. A bespoke walking tour for those interested in the deep-time aspects of geology and its relevance to Humanism and Humanists. Approximately two hours in duration, booking for the walk is essential, and as places are limited, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you can’t make it.
The walk will be followed by a celebratory picnic outside the Ranger Education Centre in Holyrood Park. For those joining the picnic at around 1.30pm there will be a warm welcome to all, with some light refreshments plus a chance to meet fellow Humanists and those interested in Humanist ideas. There is no need to book for the picnic, just see what the weather is like. Hear what those who do the walk have to say, plus chat with those who are there to socialise. Bring along lunch or a snack and stay for as long as feels right!
This is organised by the Edinburgh Humanists local group as part of a programme of events celebrating World Humanist Day, supported by Humanist Society Scotland, working towards a more secular, rational, and socially just country.
