Celebrant Ross stands smiling beside two brides dressed in white on their wedding day

Twenty Years of Humanist Weddings (Dundee)

Date: Sunday 22nd June   /   Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

On Sunday 22nd June, 2pm-4pm join Dundee Humanists at Dundee University Chaplaincy Centre for this free talk timed to coincide with the summer solstice, and to celebrate World Humanist Day.

Reflecting on ‘Twenty Years of Humanist Weddings’, we are delighted to welcome two guest speakers: Brenda Reid has been a Humanist Celebrant for celebrant for 14 years after 30 years working as a nurse and midwife, and Ross Wright married Grooms Joe Schofield and Malcolm “Malx” Brown on 31st December, 2014 in the first gay wedding in Scotland. The ceremony was a historic occasion as for the first time in Scotland two single people of the same gender were able to marry.

This should be an informative and engaging meeting, with some joyful stories along the way!

Refreshments and nibbles will be provided. We hope you can join us.
