Humanist Book Group (Online): Adventures of a Young Naturalist by David Attenborough

Date: Tuesday 1st September   /   Time: 7:30pm - 8:30pm

In the year of David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday, we will be discussing David Attenborough’s captivating memoir, Adventures of a Young Naturalist, a Sunday Times Bestseller, first published in 2018.

Our Book Group is drop-in friendly, attendance is flexible, and you can join meetings when you choose to, no guilt.

We aim to centre the experience around relaxed and informal discussion, themes, and community. We value open dialogue, diverse viewpoints, and thoughtful exploration.

We’re also delighted to be joined by special guest Dr Thom Linley, deep-sea fish expert and advocate, and host of THE DEEP SEA podcast.

A brilliant opportunity to enjoy lively conversation and a Zoom room full of people who care about ideas, ethics, and being human in the world.

Kindly facilitated by our volunteer book group facilitators Gillian, Jenny, and Shelley.

We would like to foster a respectful and brave online space where everyone feels welcome. We ask participants to be open to different interpretations and life experiences and to listen actively with curiosity.
