Glasgow Humanists meeting with members sitting and standing, chatting to each other.

Glasgow Humanists meet-up and discussion

Date: Sunday 14th April   /   Time: 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Join Glasgow Humanists for a discussion on a topic, chosen by you, and kindly led by Callum, plus an update on possible future speakers.

Callum’s 3 proposed discussion topics:

  • Does There Come a Point at Which Society Has No Choice But to Require That We Think or Behave a Certain Way?
  • Should Humanity Endeavour to Move Towards a Global Language?
  • Should We Generally Seek to Improve Upon or Otherwise Modify Our Organic Bodies?

We’ll also discuss our plans to celebrate World Humanist Day on 21 June. The local organising group of volunteers have some ideas that they’d like to share with you, but would also love to hear your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in March’s lively discussion about youth voting rights.

Register interest

This free event is open to all Humanist Society Scotland members, supporters, and anyone who shares our vision and values. You can just turn up, but it’s helpful if you can reserve a spot to give the organisers an idea of numbers to expect.

Registration is via the Glasgow Humanists Meetup page.  Doors open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start. Tea and coffee will be available.

Venue: Quaker Meeting House, 38 Elmbank Street, Glasgow, G2 4PS

38 Elmbank Crescent is a Victorian town house.  There are several steps with a handrail to the front door.  We regret that the front of the building is not accessible to everyone. Please let us know if this is an issue for you. More accessibility information can be found on the Quaker Meeting House website.
