Amnesty International and Palestine (online)

Humanists Online (Scotland) is hosting a talk by guest speaker Mariam Torres on Monday 1st June at 7.30pm on Zoom.

Mariam Torres is one of the Coordinators for Amnesty International, specialising in the Palestinian situation.

Mariam will discuss Amnesty’s research and role in the recent crises in Palestine, namely the genocide, and consider the next steps as Palantir surveillance technologies used by Israel are taken up by the British NHS.

Participation is free but we ask that you register via Meetup to receive joining instructions.

You are also very welcome to join the Humanist Pub Night in the back room of The Kenilworth Pub on Rose Street, Edinburgh on Wednesday 3 June from 7pm onwards. This will allow people to meet informally and discuss the topics raised by the talk further if they wish to.
