When someone dies, we often give flowers, but many families and friends suggest that donations in memory be sent to a charity he or she supported during their life.

If you would like to make a gift in memory of the person you love, you can either arrange a gift in memory through the funeral director or Humanist Celebrant, or send your personal donation, or a collection in their memory, to Humanist Society Scotland, Playfair House, 6 Broughton Street Lane, Edinburgh, EH1 3LY.

If you would like Humanist Society Scotland to receive in-memory donations when you die, it may be helpful to inform your executor by printing out and completing this Donation in memory form and keeping it with your will.

Remember not to attach anything to your will as this may invalidate it, and since your will may not be read until after your funeral – your family or your executor need to be aware of your wishes before you die.

If you have decided to make a Donation in Memory to Humanist Society Scotland, thank you so much! Do let us know of your decision as we’d love to send you a formal thank you and a small token of our appreciation!

If you have any questions or would like to inform us of your intention to leave a gift in your will, please get in touch with our office.
