The Time is Now

A Symposium on Assisted Dying in Scotland

This year our conference will take the form of a symposium that will focus solely on the legalisation of assisted dying in Scotland. Discover what humanist supporters of assisted dying for legally competent, terminally ill adults can do to support the bill that has been lodged in the Scottish Parliament by Liam McArthur MSP this month, which has been developed and supported by the Society and our coalition partners Dignity in Dying Scotland, and Friends at the End.

The symposium will be held at the Royal Society Edinburgh on Friday 26th November. Formal proceedings will run between 10am-2pm, and will be followed by a two hour lunch and social opportunity. We will gather together a range of experts who will talk about all aspects of the bill from the legal and the medical, to the political and the personal.

Tickets are inclusive of lunch and refreshments.
