Humanist Lunch Break: Online Conference 2020

On Thursday 3rd December at midday, grab your lunch, plug in your laptop, and settle down for just over an hour of fantastic mini presentations, conversations, and performances from our fantastic conference speakers.

We couldn’t hold our annual conference this year, but wanted to create something with the fantastic speakers that we had lined up that our members and supporters could enjoy from the comfort of their sofa.

There’s a great mix of topics and presentation styles to make the time fly by. Filmed and produced by DaySix (with some home filming where necessary) we’ve got everything from Professor Robin Attfield discussing the ethical dilemmas arising from climate change and a practical demonstration of the principles of the circular economy by research and advocacy body Ostrero, to a poetry performance by award-winning Glaswegian poet Sean Lìonadh and the launch of an exciting new Humanist Society Scotland initiative.

We’ll be broadcasting the conference premiere on our Facebook page and Youtube channel with comments open from midday on the 3rd, if you want to let us know what you think. And don’t worry if you can’t make lunch with us on the 3rd December, our Humanist Lunch Break Mini Conference will be available to watch after the premiere.

We hope you can join us!
