Tributes pour in for humanist Iain Banks

    We are sad to learn of the death of the celebrated author, Iain Banks, who has died following his recent announcement of terminal cancer. Of the many articles about him, this one in The Guardian best captures his dark sense of humour. He will be greatly missed.
